OBD2 READ IMMO DATA CDC32XX + 24C32 – VVDI2

Even tho the new tools are capable to do almost all the old clusters via OBD2 some clusters will be stubborn .

Today i will present you how to read IMMO DATA from any VAG car equipped with a cluster with CDC32xx + 24c32

1. 1. Remove dashboard from the car,dissasemble it and read it’s eeprom 24C32 manually with any programmer of your choice (mine is TL866CS) . Save it ! (For the love of god DO NOT USE A CLIP ADAPTER, don`t be lazy and remove the eeprom from the board!)
2. Open the binary file and fill the range 0x812 – 0x9BF with FF and save it as _sm.bin
3. Write the _sm.bin file back to the eeprom.
4. Reassemble the cluster
5. Put cluster back in the car (or in bench – see attached schematic for bench)
6. Open VVDI2 and load up the original EEPROM FILE that you have read before, press write !
7. After the write operation is completed now you should be able to read IMMO DATA!
